The secret ingredient? MY BALLS
Reading this thread is making me want to build a fort in my bedroom with sheets and pillows.

Don't forget about the paddle with the ball attached to it. Those were always fun for about half a day. Then the rubber band the ball was attached to inevitably broke in short order sending the ball someplace to smash into something else and break it.

gi joe, circa 1982, not the barbie rapers(am i the only one who did that?)
transformers
hot wheels
i had star trek action figures til i got caught having the guys run the train on lt uhura

These toys actually belonged to my older brother but I played with the G.I. Joe action figures and Transformers. When I was a kid Sega Genesis was the hot thing.

It was amazing how much time and use kids could get out of something so simple. I used to like them.

I feel sorry for children now. I look back on what there was when I was a kid and what they have now and I have come to the conclusion that almost all toys and cartoons made today suck. Maybe it's just nostalgia but the things we had then blow it away.

I agree. Back in the day, kids had to use their imanginations alot more. I wonder what this will mean when today's kids grow up to be adults?

For me, I loved Tonka trucks (bulldozer, crane, 2 dump trucks, steam shovel, backhoe) Then I had about 500 Matchbox and hot wheels cars. Most of which I still have to eventually give to my future son. I remember I didn't get the nintendo for awhile after it was popular, so I played alot of Atari too.

I still buy Transformers left and right.

M.A.S.K. YES!!! Loved that! Those vehicles were crazy! Lincoln logs were fun. I also had a lot of GI joes but most of them ended up as dog excrement! That fuckin dog ate all my toys!
