This has always been one of my favorite stories and I can't wait to see this latest version. I think besides the style and effects the story might be a little too deep for most people's tastes.

Do you think it will go boom or bust? "Release the Kraken!"

what the fuck you lookin at?
I dunno, the 3D thing has me hooked since Avater. Alice in Wonderland thank god was in 3D cause the story was rather boring. As for this flick. Looks good without the 3D effect. I wanna see the Kraken! That preview where he roars sends chills up my spine!!!!

This should be great for my tastes. Agreed..this Kraken looks awesome. One of my all time favorite lines is "Release the Kraken!" Who better then Liam Neeson to deliver it???

I should watch the original before I see the remake huh?

The original will always be better than the remake. If you don't see the original, you have no fear of being let down. However if you see the original, you will be one of the worried ones.

This movie can either be amazingly awesome, or completely terrible. I'm staying optimistic until I actually see it.

The original is great, but it really does show its age. It has that old Harryhausen stop motion effects that I loved as a kid, and still do, but it's pretty distracting to see these days. It takes you right out of the story. http://pharosproductions.com/aosma/aosma_movies_clash.html

But still, it's fun and there's a couple nice titty scenes.

As much as I hate remakes, this one looks justified and I hope it does well. Even if they're still butchering the original Greek mythology.

PS: There's no Titans in Clash of the Titans.

Really? Its a summer blockbuster based on the Greek myths? What's deep about it?!? If you really think that its a sad indictment on modern cinemagoers!!

Anyway, I'm looking forward to it, the original was great but this looks decent enough.

Obviously won't be going to see the 3D version. The movie wasn't even filmed in 3D, just had that added as an afterthought like Alice In Wonderland jumping on the Avatar bandwagon!.

Hard to say...part of me wants to say see the original release just to become familiar with the Greek myth of Perseus and Andromeda (what the whole thing is about per se) but part of me says that if you didn't see the original in its day..it might ruin it. But it was a great movie and story then so "yes" is my final answer.:o

I said besides the style and effects...that alone normally gets any zombie past a relatively complex story.

Again bearing in mind most of the moviegoers nowadays likely won't be familiar with the original story... Perseus and Andromeda...not "Clash of the Titans" which is what the story is merely wrapped around.

I am a failure to the Korean side of my family
I didn't see the little mechanical owl from the original version, I wonder if they are going to incorporate that....Speaking of releasing the Kraken...I must adjorn to the bathroom too much fiber.

The original CotT strayed from the myth a lot and I'm sure the remake won't require any more preparation than the original did..which is none.

Yep, Pegasus wasn't originally part of the Perseus myth.

I still don't see what is complex about this story?!?
You don't need to know about the source material to enjoy this.

Speaking of remakes. I would like to see them remake Flight of the Navigator! Great scifi flick that I LOVED as a kid.

Most stories being told generally aren't complex because you're being spoon fed it from it's beginning...the question is whether the story alone is interesting enough for some without all the bells and whistles.
