China - The Rise of Totalitarian Capitalism

The only legal sanctions according to International Law are UN Security Council appointed sanctions. China will surpass the combines West by itself in the next few decades. The Chinese would be even militarily with the US; they purchased Russian nuclear sub technology. Chinese nuclear sub tech is behind the US. Russia is by a massive margin the most powerful country in Europe.

That's assuming they can maintain their current growth.
There's a population crisis, growing appetite for decent, employment issues and whole bunch of other things discussed in this thread. No question that they are doing well right now, but a good argument that it's not sustainable. Much of it is going to come down to how competent their dictator is. History generally tells you they don't do too well.

How sensitive is the Chinese Mr Charmin about being called Winnie The Pooh? Does he lower people feet first in hot oil for such an insult? Imagine if you laughed at his pecker.

Russia is a very conservative country, and Western NGOs have been kicked out of the country. The Russia Military is the Russian peoples' military, western friendly Russian liberals will pay a hard price in the future. Russian unemployment numbers are not high. The Russians have over $580 billion dollars worth of central reserves. The West boasted about stilling over $300 billion in Central reserves, but Russians have made well over $200 billion, of those reserves back in just one year. The West has as many problems as their adversaries. Several Western governments who imposed sanctions on Russia have fallen. The Russian federal budget is front loaded, so they have a $25 Billion deficit in January. There will be another large surpass of cash this year. Look at IMF economic projections for 2023 and 2024. The Russian are great at technical matters; they have replenished central reserves. So they will keep exploiting the West's sanctions regime. But China has largest central reserves in the world. And China's trade in commodities with Russia will lesson its dependence on the West, and shore up one major potential problems with a war with U. S. A Western blockade of Pacific and Indian Ocean shipping lanes. The Russians produce the vast majority of essential items its economy needs or they will get them from China or another friendly source. Russia is not dependent on Western financial System, commodity imports, medical technology, and etc.

Yup, definitely open season on balloons & "cylindrical objects".
Still, couldn't the USAF let the Canadians have this one? I mean, I know they want to rack up the F-22 kills, but it was over Canadian soil, and the CF-18's haven't had a win since the Maple Leafs won the cup.
It would have been nice to share the glory. You forgot the Blue Jays of 1992/1993.

One more today. It's an all-out invasion ...

Russia might have decided the 2016 US election, but looks like China was doing the same for Canada:

A major countering force is going to be Japan, if they decide to step up. It's going to be hard after over 70 years of peace, but the world has changed since then.

Xi Jinping sworn in for third term as China's president paving way to stay in power for life
They didn't even have an election or any kind of voting. Ahole Xi and his CCP commie ahole cronies told the press what to say.
Many CCP party members and most people in China have to constantly use double-think. Anyone who criticizes Xi, the CCP, or China will be taken to "Room 101" and be "reeducated" until they agree with the CCP.
In commie China 2+2=5.

Ahole Trump looks at aholes Xi and Putin with envy. Ahole Trump will try to "Make America Great Again" in 2024, like he tried on Jan 6, 2021.
