Changing title of my own thread

Hi. Just wondering how I can change the title of my own thread. I understand that I can delete and start fresh by editing my own starting post, however, for some reason the edit button does not come up. What am I doing wrong?

You have 10 minutes to edit your thread, after which the [EDIT] button is no longer active. You can not delete a thread at all. If you need assistance with a thread or post, PM a Moderator.
