Cell Phone or Internet ?

I was discussing with a friend what technologies have had the biggest impact on our generation. For other generations it had been cable television, microwaves, cars...etc. For our generation we narrowed it down to the Internet and Cellular phones.

I realize I’m asking this question on the internet and the answers might come out a little biased but it still begs the question.

What can you NOT live without......Internet or your cell phone? For me I was surprised to realize there is just no way I can live without my cell phone. Its tied too much into my Job/School/Family/Friends/Emergency. Even for one week without I'd be lost.

Internet....I hardly use my cell phone and am usually around the people I need to talk to. The cell phone is a great emergency device but what we've seen lately is that it has almost became a necessity for everyone, when just a few years ago it wasn't that big a deal.:2 cents:

I'm with AH on this one. I could live without my cell phone in a heart beat. I mainly keep it for an emergency. Work, for me is done on a land phone, more privacy, and the 'net. So, no need for a cell phone, except convenience and/or emergency for me.

I'm not a big cellphone user anyway - the internet is definitely more essential to me.

I couldn't live without the internet because I keep in contact with a lot more people through the internet than I do with the phone, not to mention that it's an integral part of my job.

I can't live without it! Right now my own connection is down and are on wifi from some neighbours. I'm always freaking out without the internet. I can live without a cell phone though.

I'll bet 75% of my customers come to the cashier booth with a cell-phone "stuck" to their heads! How Rude!! Myself, My wife just bought me one for emergency use, ya-know...Flat tire, late for dinner, I've been robbed!, I've been car-jacked,..that sort of thing.
