It's an even further butchered version of American English. It was done to make the cats "funnier". In some instances, it really does help- if you can decipher WTF it's saying.

I'm not sure. I'm in America where our English is constantly torn to shreds because we don't have an official language.

Believe it or not, teachers in some areas are accepting reports and essays written in text speak! :thefinger

Lol, thats a shame (Im asking you to overlook the "lol") at the start of my university career if you want to call it that :dunno: One of my lecturers gave us I would say an hour and a half lecture on the wonders of the English language and if any of us were even to think of using anything but he'd fail us on the spot.
