Capitalism, once the thought that competition made things better for everybody, and maybe had more validity back when corporations where a generally foreign concept, especially large ones, globalization didn't exist, and we lived in an agrarian culture that was primitive enough that things like modern medicine and education didn't exist to deprive others of and people never had to travel much beyond the town they grew up in.

Now they should just rename it what it really is "The Race to the Bottom". It's become a system that been corrupted into something that encourages as much corner cutting and exploitation of people as possible as one can get away with. It relies on de facto modern slavery. It's a system that's designed around everybody maximizing their own greed to seemingly be able to function. What could possibly go wrong with a system like that?

Part of it is that if you've been brought up to believe that capitalism is wonderful and perfect then the notion that it could use some help every now and then becomes alien to you, and there are a lot of people who are so deep into that mindset that it's very hard for them to get out.

Almost 95% of the entire debt is directly attributable to the borrow-and-spend policies of Reaganomics. Why do you continue to dodge putting the responsibility where it's due? You won't get it under control because 25% of the GDP is going to gov't. It should be less than 18%. That will never happen with the current Democrats and certainly not with Barry.
