well in my personal experience from doin it myself ive noticed the load is bigger and shoots longer and harder the longer you make yourself wait to let it out. keep the excitement going but make yourself wait as long as possible. and if you can sit it out for a few days to let yourself build it up it might help too.... just ideas....
