I've been watching camgirls (on cams.com) for free for about a year now, and I love it. However, I'm starting to think that it's unethical to be watching these girls. My guess is that many of them are from poor areas around the world, and they don't seem to be making enough money to sustain themselves. Would you agree?

All depends. I have got quiet a few friends in this world. Some make tripple money than i do, some make only 600 euro. Depends how good they are. Some drive a BMW cabrio, while others are making money for their family too.

Whats ethical is in the eye of the beholder. Ethical to me in this case would be ones own personal feelings on the act of watching them and any consequences of said act. I think what you and you alone feel about the act of watching is your foundation for if its ethical or not to you yourself.

As for the girls sadly they do what they must do I suppose :dunno: and I'm sure appreciate your support and don't look down on you.

The ethical question is does the camgirl do what she promised. It's like the debate about if something like the sport of boxing is ethical.A barbaric sport some would say which causes injury and death on occasion.But if the participants who almost all come from poor backgrounds were denied it would they really be better off? All you can do is try to support policy's that give folks more avenues and choice in life I guess.Till then let them earn a living any way they think is best I think.

I don't know anything about them, let alone anything about the women's personal situation so I can't answer your question. The fact you actually think about things like that and have a conscious puts you ahead of the majority of the porn buying public who don't give a damn about how the product gets produced at least.
