Suze Randall and Carol Foxxx have both done a fair amount of work behind the camera. It's probably not fair to generalize, but from what I've seen, women tend not to go overboard with closeups as badly as (younger) males do. IMO, Suze Randall has shot some of the best pictures ever. And Carol Foxxx is at least as good behind the camera as in front.
