Do I feel this treatment towards her is warranted? Fuck no. Nothing...including the career choices of others...gives ANYONE the right to be a douchelord. Saying camgirls should expect and tolerate this kind of belittlement is like saying that fat kids should expect bullying, or fast food workers should be treated like trash. No one deserves disrespect while on the job...or at all really. If she was working any other job, and customers were coming into her place of work to harass her, the cops would be called and these dicks would be charged with harassment or assault. Just because the internet keeps you anonymous, doesn't give you the right to be a keyboard warrior. Just saying.
This girl though, with her obvious mental issues or trauma, really shouldn't be in an industry that is so judgemental and critical. Camming brings out the best of men, but on the flipside also brings out the worst in men. A great percentage of webcam viewers actually hate women, especially pretty women, and will do anything to try to make them crack. I have several haters who anonymously dedicate hours in their day to try to humiliate me, degrade me and disrespect me on MFC, Twitter, Tumblr, etc. Doesn't work obviously, because I am fabulous and I don't invest any emotion into what a coward hiding behind the name SpexyIsFat on twitter has to say lol. But some women simply can't handle it due to their life experiences, circumstances or self esteem problems. She needs to step back from the webcam and seek help stat.
