I put the polls up not to find people who agree with me.
I put anonymous voting polls so people can, quite anonymously, vote so I can find out the total distribution of preference/non-preference.
All without anyone feeling insulted or being questioned why they voted.

I want people to be honest, and they can do it without anyone knowing.
