The bull, named Opíparo, gored the matador and stuck a horn through his neck. The horn pierced the jaw and went out through the mouth of the torero (bullfighter)

If something like this happened more often, the Spaniards might finally reconsider the barbaric practice of bullfighting. I loathe you, Ernest Hemingway!

I went on a sort of blind date with a sort of a friends sister once.
By coincidence there was a rodeo in town.
I took her there, not realizing beforehand that rodeo's were sort of cruel to animals and that she was sort of an animal rights activist.
she was sort of ok for most of the show, but when they started chasing down and roping the calves she sort of lost it and stood up and started yelling " this is cruel, this is inhumane!", she was very shaken up, it was sort of embarrassing and i got her out of there. .........never hung out with her again.
