Brink

So now that PSN is back up,I've been playing the hell out of this game all day.

Seems like there are a few kinks that they need to work out, like netcoding and the grouping system, but in all,it's an awesome game that flips the FPS genre on it's ear.

Anyone else playing it?

Have been waiting for it for over a year now. But just bought Portal 2, and I want to complete that game first.

Then I'll get Brink. Can't wait to play it!!

I may rent it depending on how good single player is, none of my friends will buy this so multiplayer is pretty much out of the equation for me.

How would you rate the multiplayer? My purchase is based on your response.

For me,it's a 4 1/2 out of 5 stars, but be warned,it's nothing like any other FPS that you've played,so my experience with the game could totally be different than yours.

If you are thinking that this game is going to be a nonstop killfest where you are just owning people, well guess again. You HAVE to work as a team if you expect to survive and win.

Also,I've heard that people that are playing it on PC bitch about the servers and 360 owners are also complaining about the lag.I have it for PS3,and while there is some wonky **** that happens with rubberbanding sometimes,it's few matches that this actually happens, but it will happen eventually.Other than that, there is virtually no lag in this game on PS3.

This game is a straight up win or lose game. There is no ****/death ratio, and to this point no stat tracking of your character. Some people are really turned off by that, but for me,it make it more of a focused team effort, rather than a game where people are just trying to pad stats and brag about how often they are on top of the leaderboard, and how many killstreaks they've earned.I say fuck that noise, and really applaud Splash Damage for daring to make something completely different from CoD or any of it's clones.

I would say to you that you should get it.It's definitely not perfect by any means, but it's a total blast to play, especially if you are looking for something that shatters the mold of the typical FPS.

Different is exactly what I was hoping for. I'll pick this up next week! Thanks for the input.
