Boy Gets *********** at Six Flags

The Cobb County, Georgia, Fire and Emergency department said the victim was part of a group of boys who jumped a fence and entered an area of the park they were not supposed to be in. No one else was injured, the department told CNN

And so there you have it...

Tragic, but then, some rules and fences are posted for a reason. :(

They should attach his head to the fence as a deterrent to future geniuses.

It probably still wouldn't work. There are just too many stupid people out there.

The more deterrents which they install, the more some will want to overcome the obstacles.

Anecdotally, a friend once told me that humans were no longer evolving because we have seeming eliminated all elements of Darwinism.

That is a very interesting thought. What would Darwin say about the possibility of evolution in this modern world? I'm going to enjoy pondering over that one.

He had to climb 2 6 foot fences. Seems like a lot of unnecessary trouble to go through.

The second link also stated he was struck by the ride...imagine the ***** splatter!!!

I hear Six Flags' new slogan is:

Come to the park, have fun, just don't lose your head over it!

By the way, contrary to published reports, the *** is actually doing fine!

And look what he can do now!

All elements of Darwinism have not been eliminated. The locus of evolution is the gene not the individual (as Dawkins has explained). In other words, as always, the individuals who are able to more successfully pass on their genetic material are the ones whose traits will contribute to the course of evolution. Thus if this boy had had ********, his genes for excessive risk taking would be ****** on, contributing to human evolution. While genius Ludwig Wittgenstein (IQ 190), who never had ********, (as far as I know) would not.

Perhaps your friend is alluding to the notion that humans now control their environment to a greater degree than any other species and thus ***** the environment to adapt to them rather than adapting to it. This however is merely a shift in the game of evolution not evidence that the game is over. Evolution in this case becomes increasingly based on mental and social factors rather than purely the local physical environment. That is another topic altogether and in any case it is very different from saying that humans are no longer evolving.

thats a pretty fucked up story; I feel terrible for his ****** and friends but as they say (if you fuck with the bull; you'll get the horns) he played russian roulette and lost; plain and simple; its a tragedy that the **** didn't heed the warnings that were in place; not to mention 2 6ft. fences!! and someone paid with their life for being stupid!!! just *********!!

Don't know if it mentions it in that one, but another article talked about a girl a few years ago at a six flags that lost her legs because a cable snapped on the ride. her ****** sued the park and they tried to say that they shouldn't be held responsible.

I'll bet $2 dollars that the park is gonna get sued for not having proper security measures in place because the fences are 6 feet high instead of 10 feet.

that was a malfunction. This was pure stupidity on the boys part. But yea like has been mentioned, the park will be sued.

hell!! how dangerous is that stupid park... terrible :(

The danger of being injured in the park, if you follow the rules and boundaries, is negligible. This dumb ass jumped not one, but two fences that were set up to keep people out of the area where he was. If you ask me, the little **** got what he deserved for not following the rules.

When I think of some of the crazy ass **** I did as a *** (when we all tend to feel immortal), including a couple of things more dangerous than this, I think what I deserved most was to learn a hard lesson. Fortunately that's generally the outcome of this kind of thing; a close call and a lesson learned. But it's inevitable that some cases the death of another will be a part of that lesson.

nasty.
reminds me of Accident, I mean Action Park NJ.

Where I grew up in N.J. We used to mess around on the Logflume in the winter when it was closed down.
It was like a big giant slide.
Later when I was in my 20's A *** got ****** doing the same thing because some idiot put a chain across the bottom.
Almost cut him in two.
Glad there was no chain there 10 years earlier.
