It worked fine for me :)

Can we still use animated avatars? I tried uploading a new one today...and got a message...

'You may not upload animated images'

But obviously the old one still works...

Plus the [Show your signature] box in quick reply is already checked.
Nice, The board is getting better all the time

I have an older system....am getting bombarded with script errors while going from page to page. That wasn't the case before the upgrade.

It's good to be the king...
Am I right in assuming that another change involves the system logging out after a lenghty period of non-use?

I fell asleep last night, logged into the forum, but had to log in again when I just awoke.

The quick reply problem still there (being asked to log in, just after logging in is becoming irriatating)

Just noticed something I use netscape 8.0 and there is no spellcheck with Netscape but woth internet explorer there is a spell check...no big deal....love everything else....just thought i would mention that

I personally tested it with:
Firefox (both the stable and beta release), Opera (last stable), Netscape (last stable), Internet Explorer (last stable 6.x and 7.x beta) and with lynx (an old text browser, sees the things the same way as search engines/speech browsers, only disadvantage is that it doesn't support javascript)

It all worked for me (except the javascript related things with lynx), except for the spellcheck, that only worked in IE..

Thanks Colonel but that's not the problem. Since so far I'm the only one reporting script errors (syntax, object expected, etc), it may be because I don't have enough memory to upgrade beyond IE5 as a browser. That means I can't use Netscape or Firefox either. Other than that the only other thing I can think of is that maybe one or more of my advanced property settings aren't in harmony with the upgrade?

BTW, excellent signature quote! The Battle of Reams Station ;-) I taught a class in Civil War history at one time and will always find the subject endlessly fascinating :)

This was disabled by the upgrade, I've enabled it again.

Just something I noticed whilst posting a poll..
When I set up the poll on the first page, clicking the 'submit poll' immediately posts the poll on the board, surely it would be better for it to post after I have entered the actual choices on the next page?!
I found people are responding to the poll before I put the actual choices in place.
Or better still, can the poll not be set-up on just a single page and have a 'submit poll' at the bottom?

this has always been the case. It's a "bug" in the board software. Unfortunately we can't fix that. VBulletin has to do it.

Actually, you needn't bother..I'll be posting NO MORE polls.
