You keep hammering away at the money aspect of this. I'm a guy who lives in Las Vegas and an 18 year veteran of the casino biz, and I'm asking you to look at the fact that this **** is toxic to our planet. There's more to life and existence than money. And like Rev and I posted consecutively above, when the taste of the beverage is altered, that means something else has been introduced to it. Does this not trouble you? Or are you too busy saving a quarter a cup to wonder what type of chemical wipes out the taste of coffee?
There are lots of thing that are not good for humans and the planet. Legislation alone does not hold the answers. Switch from foam to paper and we are cutting down too many trees. We can find solutions but an end user cost must be reached to make it successful. This has been done many times. Organic produce prices are now in line with the supermarkets. Recycled products are there too. Natural household chemicals now stand up to the effectiveness of the pollutants at a competitive price. Corn and hemp ideas are great for many reasons but it's useless if the cost is too high. Back to the NYC schools decision to not switch for 11 years.
Solar panels would sure save on focal fuels but why aren't they on every building? Geothermal? You want to start creating laws to mandate them for every new home built? Are they being implemented into every newly built government or school building? No way. Save the world with no free refills on my ****.
