blocked sites

i'm with TWC - they deny blocking internet traffic.

but the last few nights, i can't go to any adult sites. =(

i run norton internet security, but no parental controls are on.

and i've tried multiple browsers, to no avail.

what i get are DNS errors, which leads me to believe it's TWC.

any ideas?

I've never heard of this, but You Might want to ask them straight up why you can't visit certain sites. Maybe tell them sites like playboy.com wont work if you're embarrassed to tell them its porn. Playboy is one of those mainstream things everyone knows and isn't afraid of anymore.

I'm pretty sure its you're right to view what you want to view on your own PC.

That is weird because I have TWC. No problems with anything.

But if you figure it out add Malewarebytes with Norton. Norton is more a anti-virus and can't stop all maleware. Only $30 a year.

I worked for a big european ISP and that company did not blok certain web sites or areas, but it was common knowledge others, smaller players in the field cut traffic in sseveral ways to limit bandwith overuse. Later, there was an initiative to block chiuld porn websites.

My advice is the obvious: Change your internet service provider. ESPECIALLY if you are with Time Warner. And check online iof there are stories about any potential new provider limiting access.

I hope you find a new, better service.

Turn your router on and off. If that doesn't work, that means your router is shot. Then it's time for new equipment.
