1. American football- college gets a slight advantage over the pro game because of the atmosphere. Either way, a fast hard-hitting, exciting game.
2. Hockey- Fast-paced, with speedy and skilled players, and hard hitting. In person is much better than on TV, but TV is still good, because there fewer timeouts, stoppages, etc. than football or basketball.

Cricket is my favourite sport. It's not dumb or for jokers, just as exciting as any sport going.

I certainly found the Ashes games last year gripping. I think the rules are a little complex for some people who aren't familiar with the game.

Definitely American College Football ...

American football is about strategy as much as heart and brawn. You stop the game, but there's only a 25 second game clock in American college football. You also get more "exciting" and "impromptu" action -- like the option -- than professional. And most of the kids are playing the game for love, not money.
