best shootout ever?

Marlo Manson

Hello Sexy girl how your Toes doing?
You can nominate a television show or series; or from a movie? any shootout you've ever seen on TV; NO actual real life events; that would be pretty morbid for someone to use a real event; but I recently saw an awesome gunfight on a movie series I will put you all up on; a little later in the thread! but for now I think for me the most memorable; exciting firefight I can remember would be in the movie:

HEAT- band robbery gone bad; police surround the bandits and they refuse to surrender so all hell breaks loose!

great shootout the sound effects were very realistic and surreal..

Leon - When the cops find the apartment Leon is staying at with the young girl and they send "everyone" to get him.

The final shootout in "Open Range" is good.

Also the final shootout in "3 10 to Yuma" is pretty cool too.

There is no better than the scene Slay mentioned.

Most of John Woo's early Hong Kong movies have insane shootouts, such as "Hard bolied" and The "A Better Tomorrow" Series, Especially the climactic shootout in "A Better tomorrow II".

There are loads of those Asian gangster films that have brilliantly choreographed shootouts.

Opening sequence of Once Upon a Time In the West
High Noon
Miller's Crossing
The Informer (1935)
White Heat (1949)
Pat Garrett & Billy the ***
final scene of The Wild Bunch
Last Man Standing

Heat, without a doubt. Longest shootout ever, unless it's been over taken? I know it was for a long time. They did a hell of a lot of training to get that scene perfect.

According to the DVD extras, the military have actually used that scene during training because of the way Val Kilmer reloads his ***. "If you can't reload faster than an actor, get out of my fuckin' squad!"

HEAT- got to love full auto's:ak47:

What they said.

3:10 to Yuma and Open Range ending shoot-outs were awesome, indeed. But so are westerns, haha.

I think some of the shootouts in The Matrix were great, mainly cuz it was one of the first to take shootouts to a different level (and today that concept is ***** by other movies.)

Agreed. Heat and Scarface are the best movie shootouts.

which was based on real events! ---> I was gonna say the LA bank robbery shootout that left both criminals dead and a couple wounded police officers. But you said no real life examples so...I'm at a loss...
