FF is pretty much a staple on PlayStaton platforms,so I highly doubt that it will go to 360 or Wii.I'm sure they are hard at work on the next installment as well.

Looks like it will be the exact same thing it has been for the last 10 years.
Most old series of games are just huge let-downs these days when compared to fresh games. I'd like to see something else than graphics updated in series like Final Fantasy and Zelda. Looking forward to Devil May Cry 4 though, the demo was great.
I forgot about Chrono Trigger. It was also one of the best RPGs games ever. Personally I would rate it only behind Xenogears and Final Fantasy VII as my favorite one. Not only was the story good, but also the way the game was structured was well thought out. I remember being surprised they could pack as much as they did into the SNES system.
The Breath of Fire series is ok.
Legend of Dragoon, I mostly like that on because of the mature storytelling.
Valkyrie Profile (You'll probably never find it unless you play on emulator)
If you like strategy/tactical combat (like FF Tactics, only better) the whole Fire Emblem series is good, IMO.

because suikoden 1 and 2 are the best Jrpg Ever.
What is good about the suikoden series is a storyline that actually has some sense... no more Psycho villains that want to destroy the world for fun...
Suikoden is War and politics.

Yeah, I never got to play all of the Suikoden games, but I did play Suikoden 3 and it took me by surprise. A long, good story told through multiple perspectives. Xenogears is an old favorite of mine. I really liked the Chrono games (Trigger and Cross). Anyone remember the Lunar games that came out for the Sega CD. They remade them for the Playstation years later. Ofcourse, Knights of the Old Republic is Hall of Fame.
There are plenty of good ones that aren't an FF game.

Persona 3 is the newest one I have played that was pretty incredible.
I'm also surprised no one mentioned mass effect, I found that game really fun.
