Best News Coverage

If there are topless pics of Katie, I doubt the guy that took them wants to admit to it. She probably wants them leaked, but he refuses to have anything to do with it.

But now... K_a_t_y Kay (have to type it like that or it picks up a porn star's name) from the BBC?! She's a real deal journalist. But if she ever has too many martinis some night and goes nuts, pops her top and shows off the lil girls... I would love to check out those pics!

ITN's Katie Derham is the real deal. Couric I was only joking. Kat-ie Kay? Hmm, not overly familiar with.

Do folks think that if the news provider is privately owned (i.e. Murdoch) it's inherently biased? or do public funded networks succumb to government pressure?

All news broadcasting inherently has some agenda as the reporter will have some of their subjective spin to a news story-it simply can not be helped unless they are complete auto motons. Of all the commonly available broadcast news, I like Newshour w/Jim Lehrer, Shepard Smith and a little bit of Bloomberg News, otherwise, most reporters and news networks suck in my opinion.

Yeah Fox got ratings by being the voice of angry whites who can't stand the changes that have occured in america in the last 50 years.Dobbs tried to tap into that.I saw an interview with Ted Turner who said if he had still been boss at CNN Dobbs would have been reigned in or fired.

Personally of the 3 cable news shows I think CNN is the closest to being balanced.MSNBC which I think gets things right most of the time still is fairly seen as leaning towards dems and Fox is just so far right they are a joke.

As some have said I think PBS is much better place for good info and for a newspaper The New York times is still the paper of record.

The BBC does a good job. Although I wouldn't call them completely unbiased even though they are funded by public money. They are another news organisation after all (plus a lot of other stuff of course)

I also think Channel 4 also does a pretty decent job.
