Hotlanta has always been my go to proof, that NO ONE played harmony leads better then Duane, and Dicky.

Anything by Richie Blackmore.

Being the youngest of four ********, I was exposed to a virtual cornucopia of rock music from the 60's and early 70's. As I got older, I expanded my tastes. I am curious what the FO community would pick as their favorite solo (solos). I'll give you 4, in no particular order of "Best"
Jimmy Page-Since I've Been Loving You
David Gilmour-Time
Berton Averre-My Sharona
Ted Nugent- Wang Dang Sweet Poontang from Double Live Gonzo: Nugent absolutely ***** it! Saw him at Penn Jam in 1979, and my ears still hurt!

It's hard to say because the most important thing about music is how the backing band works!

In plain language:

If the bassist and drummer are capable of their job then the guitar solos are not so important
