Best Cartoon of all time

Does anyone remember Macross?

Even though my Goon pal om3ga asked this 3 years ago...:eek: the answer is YES! In the U.S., Macross was named "Robotech" and it pretty much kicked ass. I used to use a pic of Rick Hunter on my FO page (which maybe you commented on once.)

Robotech/Macross Saga Pwned back in the day.
Star Blazers was an even earlier Japanese animation series (late 70s I think).
Both Voltrons were awesome.
Thundar the Barbarian was cool
I liked the Jetsons more than the Flintstones
XMen and Spiderman from the 90s were cool.
GI Joe and Transformers were classics....

"The Transformers"

In particular, season three, though the Japanese "Headmasters" series was also amazing.

South Park, Family Guy, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Sealab 2021, He-Man and the Masters of the Universe (2000s version), Jusict League, Superman and Batman Animated Series and Transformers Gen.1 are my favs.

Sailor Moon. It got me hooked on anime.

I think you can really tell peoples age by what they answer.Seems like the newer generation like Family Guy and South Park.

I've been watching cartoons for as long as I can remember, and my favorite was Battle Of The Planets. From what I understand, though, they really dumbed it down for the American audience.

The first generation of Robotech, was probably the most intense cartoon for the day.It was the only one that had major characters die on the show. That really heavy subject matter for children and early teens alike.

The classics will always be towards the top of the list though. The Flintstones,Tom And Jerry,Popeye,Woody Woodpecker,Bullwinkle,Tennesee Tuxedo, those are all great classics.

Cartoons nowadays suck, with the exception of a few.Ever since Ren And Stimpy, they have been trying to come out with weirder and quirkier shows, and I just think that they are trying too hard to be different.

The funny thing about it is that John K's style for Ren and Stimpy was pretty much a rip off of Ralph Bakshi's Mighty Mouse:The New Adventures, which was very trippy for kids, back in the day.I remember my parents watching it with me,saying how weird it was from the original.

As for more recent weird toons,I really liked Samurai Jack and Invader Zim(which was grossly underrated and under appreciated, along with Futurerama).

My personal favorites were
Voltron(both versions that aired in U.S..There was a third that never aired here,as far as I know)
ThunderCats
G.I. Joe (original)
Transformers (original)
Inspector Gadget(when he had the mustache,he actually wasn't a complete idiot,if memory serves me well)
M.A.S.K.
and don't even get me started talking about Saturday mornings.

Like I said, cartoons just suck now.just look on Youtube for 80's cartoon intos and notice how all of those great memories come rushing back.Cartoons now don't even have good theme songs anymore. It's pretty sad.

Moving to a trailer in Fife, AL.
anyone seen "Baoh" on Anime? I did the voice for a couple of soldiers, including the flame-throwing guy who gets blasted off the balcony

Fuck yeah,I own it,and it's awesome.

I think Baoh could give The Guyver a run for his money...And then get totally owned, but it was a really good anime.

Batman: TAS

This show arguably defined Batman for a generation. Awesome stuff. It's also noteworthy for introducing the Joker's better half, Harley Quinn!

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

There was hardly any kid who didnt watch this show religiously during the late 80's/early 90's.

GI Joe: A Real American Hero

Such a great cartoon featuring interesting characters on both sides.

Transformers G1

Same as above.

Superman TAS

What a great take on Superman this was. Variations were there, but it all felt classic.

Beavis and Butthead

Truly amazing how fast this show branched out into a simple cartoon on Liquid TV, to it's own show, to having it's own comic, video games, various merchandise memorabilia, to it's own feature film.

Ren and Stimpy (really for it's first season which was great)

Pre-dated Beavis and Butthead by a few years, but had the same flare for gross humor.

X-Men 1990's

Another great take on the X-Men franchise that finally had been given it's due. Much to every kids enjoyment.

Spider-Man 1990's

Probably my favourite Spider-Man cartoon.

Popeye

Watching Popeye beat the living shit out of Bluto never gets old.

the Classic WB cartoons with Buggs and the gang

This stuff is simply amazing.

The Simpsons

An old favourite, with a pretty entertaining movie.

Family Guy

A often, quite often, hilarious show.

The Best: The Simpsons
But my favorite would be either Family Guy or The Critic. Scooby Doo from the old school crowd.

tom and jerry and bugs bunny greatest of all time i mean some of those are what 3o to 50 years old and still funny to this day
