She doesn't come from a poor family. Her father is a surgeon in her home state. She had a full scholarship to Vanderbilt University and turned it down to go to Duke. Student loans aren't completely unmanageable, and I'm sure if she was offered a full scholarship from Vanderbilt she could have gotten some grants and scholarship money from Duke.

The average porn star won't make enough money to even cover a semester at Duke, let alone a whole year.

She hasn't ruined her life. We (the USA) is easily one of the most sexually repressed countries in the world. The fact that she isn't consistent with the nice little porn slut stereotype causes the problem. She isn't some poor girl, who is desperate or drug addicted ( at least not likely), she is a student at a very good school and comes from an educated upper middle class family. If she enjoys fucking on film, that is her choice and it shouldn't impact anything she does in the future.
