Pat Fenis I entirely disagree. It costs plenty to be a christian. It costs you the use of your brain where you would otherwise find logic and intelligence and experience-based opinions. It has cost millions of lives and christian churches take the money from the poor every sunday claiming giving to the church will bring them riches and spirituality they would not otherwise attain, which is an outright lie. Weak minded people and hopeless people rely on religion. People who are in denial of all logic and simple deduction. That is a very high cost in totality.

I find the entire discussion of being a christian tedious. we live in a world of science that has shown a very bright and defining light on the relic that is religion. It causes intelligent people to literally turn off a large portion of their brain that otherwise determines opinions based on logic and experience and simple common sense. When you get so many people to literally ignore or outright shut their brains off, that is a tremendous detriment to society. It leaves you open for horrible mistakes that cost lives and alienate the masses.

This is one of the absolutely best quotes I have ever read regarding "intelligent design" by one of the world's greatest scientists Neil deGrasse Tyson that beautifully sums up the ridiculous belief that a supreme being who is perfect and all-knowing created the human body.
