BBWNFS - Big Beautiful Women NO FAT SLOBS

Yes. But ever find it hard to define? So hopefully this is ok with freeones and we can start compiling a big ol list of these types of girls!

Thanks!

Buccy, I totally applaud your desire to further define this category of women. There is no place for women who are not BBWs nor the typical 34-26-34 girl in porn. I fall into this category, as well as a whole host of other gorgeous women in the adult industry.

However, in my experience the true problem here lies in the way adult companies decide to market their products. I've been featured in, and on the covers of, a few DVDs which were supposed to feature exactly the kind of women you're talking about - women with curves, women who are not fat or even really overweight; women whose beauty is above average... and I came to find that none of these DVDs are even for sale where I live, in Los Angeles, because distributors immediately catch keywords like "curvy" and "juicy" and "voluptuous" in the DVD description or title, and it gets shot over to the BBW category, which most adult stores in major US cities do not even stock because it's considered too much of a "niche." Despite the fact that I have only ever accepted non-BBW work and shoot offers, the industry eventually seems to find a way to niche-ify any kind of content that involves girls who are NOT BBWs but are just not industry "average" size 4 or 6.

What I am trying to get at here, is if we're going to try to create a new definition of girls like me in the industry, I don't really see the point unless the porn industry starts to get behind the idea that just because a girl's a size 8 or 10 (I happen to be between 8 and 10 for the record) doesn't mean she's a BBW, which almost by definition would have to be a size 16 or larger.

I can fully understand your quandary. I guess I created this because I was lazy.

LAZY you might ask...? Much like the issues you have with Juicy, curvy, etc... I was having the same problem. I would look for those types of girls and end up getting 16,18,20+ girls that, in all rights, probably should not be having their image taken. I know that is rude but unless you are fetish driven, it's not something that should be publicly promoted... like ************** or S&M. So instead of me trying to drill down in my searchs to zero in on the images I enjoy, the women I enjoy (much like yourself) I figured I will attempt to bring it to me. Flip the coin over, go a different direction in hopes other people will catch on and start contributing images videos, etc.

I regret some what NO FAT SLOBS in the acronym, but at the time I was very frustrated. "Fatty lover" "Wave rider" etc.. NO. I am not, and I will not disrespect ANYONE who might be over weight... but to get past the people who can't understand what I am saying I felt I needed to be... well blunt... rude. So BBWNFS was created.

Who knows though, maybe we can make a dent into the ideals of "branding" women. LOL! Doesn't sound chauvinistic at all does it!? When movies portray the ideal woman, or the woman who is taking the lead characters man, it is almost ALWAYS a bigger girl with big boobs. I say Bigger in the thoughts of Hollywoods bigger... maybe size 8. LOL. The Pamela Anderson, Anna nicole style. Hell even Marilyn Monroe. Redefine "Curvy" to be something most men want in reality (which they do).

Lastly, I always said... put a Julia Roberts at a bar and next to her put a non pregnant Jessica Simpson. Who would get hit on first? Who would be looked at most? I will guarantee you, Jessica would almost 9 out of 10 times. Just sayin'

It sounds like we need a different keyword other than those you mentioned. Distributors are probably searching these titles electronically. So they already have made up their minds that "curvy" "voluptuous" and a few others are going in with the BBW products. So maybe coming up with a new word and leaving off those that they use to search and sort products into the BBW category would help.

Yes, this is what I was trying to explain, but you just clarified it better.

Distributors have tagged words like curvy, voluptuous, juicy, round, plump, etc. as words associated with BBW category DVDs. Therefore, automatically by electronic tagging some DVDs I'm in such as New Sensations' Big Girls Are Sexy and DreamZone's Cute and Curvy will never be available in some adult stores, unfortunately this most often applies to stores in major cities like LA, Chicago, NY, San Francisco, Miami, etc. I realize that most people probably order their stuff online anyway, but it's not necessarily about the fact that it's not physically available in some stores... it's about the feeling of being excluded and being lesser than other adult stars, even though I've never shot any BBW or "chubby" content I feel like companies are unknowingly, even, slapping that label on me, which negatively impacts my career.

Footnote: I don't want anything I'm saying to be misinterpreted as speaking ill of women who do BBW work. I have made a choice to never do BBW work because I do not believe I fit into that category, and neither do the vast majority of BBW fans. So when I say that it negatively impacts my career, I mean because it marginalizes me and separates me from other adult actresses who have curves that happen to be distributed differently than mine, such as Alexis Texas, Julie Cash, Gianna Michaels, Alison Tyler, etc. None of these girls are called BBWs, but they all have gorgeous real curves. I'm no different. Every time someone associates me with BBW category stuff it screws with my career choices, my business plan, and everything else I work hard to maintain!

The thing is, how would another term whether it's BBWNFS or something else, be separated from BBW if so many other terms like curvy and voluptuous are being misused? Milf and mature get thrown around a lot as well and half the time it's not justified. Inappropriate labelling or categorising is not a problem that is exclusive to porn either, it's all kinds of media and towards women in general. It's an issue and not sure one that will be resolved any time soon :(

I have to say though I am surprised you personally would be marketed or distributed differently from someone like Gianna Michaels. You are both very similar physically, not to mention put in great performances and clearly enjoy your work on screen. But if some of your titles are being categorised incorrectly I'm not sure what you can do? :( All I can say is keep up the good work and I think in time you will be up there with the likes of Gianna Michaels soon enough. Actually have you done a scene with her yet? If not I reckon you should, and soon! Particularly a 4 way with 2 guys involved. That would be super hot. Someone needs to make it happen :drool2:

BTW have you entered Miss Freeones? I think you would be a good shot at Best Newcummer ;)
