Battlefield Bad Co. 2

I think we need a thread for this one....theres a beta going on right now and asking some peeps on my friend list about it,along with videos on some sites,this game is looking real fucking hot.

I'm glad its not out till March barring any delays cause the Call of dookie modern2 high might fade and there will be a new online shooter on the block.
This game really does look like something special.
 
I'll prob be hitting CODookie for a long time especially since they plan on backing it with DLC,thats why I'm glad Bad Co. aint due out till March.By then it will be time for aittle something different for an online shooter.....The
1st game was quite good but overlooked.....I was high on Killzone2 at the time myself.
 
Been very diverted lately but got caught up on some Bad company2 info and trailers and I gotta say,this game is looking reallll fucking good. Even if it were 80% as good as call of dookie modern2 and had some different kinda stuff to do,which I know it does, it will be a great FPS worth a day one purchase no doubt.

The first quarter of next year is shaping up to be fuckin killer. God of War3,Heavy Rain,BattelfieldBad company2,Gran Turismo5,Bioshock2,Final Fantasy13,MLBtheshow 2010......fuck,thank god for gamefly.
 
So this game finally comes out Tuesday,who is getting it? Within the last month I played Call of duty Modern2 only 2 times after hammering it to death for months,played the Bad Company2 beta and liked it better than COD as a whole,reviews for Bad co2 are coming in and they say the campaign is sweet as hell too.....

All that said, I'm ready to move on from Call of Duty Modern 2. It was a good run,dont get me wrong, call of duty is a great game but its repetitive now. Its been out since November so its time to move on and Im positve that Bad company2 will not only fill the void,it will be a much better experience in the end....I hated call of duties campaign,so if bad co2 campaign is as good as advertised than that will def seel the deal.

Really? I rather enjoyed the MW2 campaign. I also enjoyed the first BC campaign yet disliked the multiplayer. I'll stick with MW2 for a bit yet. At least till GoW3 comes out. Gonna gamefly that and then buy the trilogy. BC2 worth a rent for me. The demo I didn't care for. The guns felt flawed at least when compared to the MW2 guns that I'm used to. I'll give it a chance though.

I agree. The demo was ok, but something felt off. probably just used to MW2... o well. I never played God of War. considering picking them up too!

Open my reply here saying that I'm not being an ass with this comment, so dont tear me apart. But if everyone in the gaming world keeps comparing shooters side by side with Call of duty, than you will never find anything you like....

My friend does that alot, he's extreme too. I got him into Uncharted2 and he loves the campaign but kept making call of duty references when we got together for some multiplayer. He's like "how come these guns are weak?" Im like dude first of all, the game is 3rd person, second your not supposed to have insane FMJ blinged weapons to drop people in a heartbeat unrealisticly.

Call of duty to Uncharted is such an apples to oranges comparison....it makes me laugh. But for some odd reason he loves Bad company 2 and is getting it day one,saying he likes it better than call O duty just playing the beta....:dunno:
 
I played the Beta and to be honest i didn't really like it. The graphics are insane, its just the shooting i don't like, maybe im too used to COD, but the shooting just seemed horrible. A good thing about it was that the games seemed to last forever which is good.

360 fool! I told you PS3 was mostly for blu-ray and GoW3. Also any other exclusives I find an interest to try out. I am an achievement whore on 360, so games that are available on both, I'll always get the 360 version.

You played MAG? I might rent that one eventually.

Yeah I got MAG but it got traded in to Gstop already. Dont get me wrong, its a pretty cool game but I lack the patience for it. What I mean is that, since its very team based, you gotta kinda hope that everyone is communicating with a headset and ****.

When it does work, which is around 75% of the time at least when I was still on, its a good game. I'll put it to you this way, if you got enough peeps to make a clan, Id say def buy it or Gfly it cause it would be great and is a very fun game. Me and one other friend were the only ones who got it out of our Call of dookie crew so....and for me personally Bad co. 2 and Gowar3 will be my time consumers for the next couple months......
 
Great Game!!! got my BC2 copy 1 day early (ie today).

Really enjoying the experience on my PC.
Maxed out settings and in "true"** 1920x1200 (not 1920x1080) resolution w/ a Sennheiser Headset = epic.

SP is above avg (about a third done) but this game was really meant to shine in MP.
Enjoying the game a lot and will keep me content until the "real" BF game comes out: Battlefield 3 (successor to BF2)

Must buy on my take if you enjoy a modern military fps game. Didn't buy MW2, but I did play it on my buddies system. (wasn't worth putting money into IW/Activisions pocket). If anyone still hasn't bought a recent modern military themed fps, between mw2 and bc2, bc2 hands down. (I didn't include MAG because I'm strictly a PC gamer)

**(saying "true resolution" because 360 titles are actually 600p-720p up-scaled, same for ps3 except for a few titles which are actual 1080p
