Battlefield 2142

Has anyone tried the demo out yet? I played Battlefield 2 for a while but quickly got bored of it, I'm just about to try this new game out and wanted to know your opinions.

I love BF2 and ive watched the demo vid, i'm llooking fwd to trying it out in the next few days when i get time, i'll let you know but if you didn't like BF2 then i doubt you will like this also just my opinion

BF2142 refuses to launch on my machine. It makes no sense, because BF2 ran pretty damn good.

The game runs good fast and stable. The maps load up faster then BF:2. I can run settings on high with no lag on the internet. I wish I could do the same with BF:2. 2142 isnt as fun as BF:2 but the upgraded engin looks beautiful. They have more vehicles spawned in game, I think they did this so people would not complain about spawn points being overrun with armor.

Aw man, This GAME IS AWESOME!!

I played it at this game convention, it was fricken awesome. Sweet graphics, smooth gameplay, I would upgrade my computer just so its able to play this.
(hopefully that will happen in the next couple of months or so!)

Just got it for PC, pleased so far.

Good gameplay, nice graphics although not much of a step up from BF2.
Still a good game though. Love the Bot features aswell.

2142 is just a fuckin mod of BF2, and its more flawed.....shame

Hmm, ironic on my own thread everyone else seems to like it. I think it's the same as Battlefield 2.

So far so good and some of the innovations are really exciting, has flaws though and some are carried over from BF2 but no doubt patches will resolve most of these teething issues.
My advice is to get on it early as you can update and improve each soldier class the more you play the game ( via promotions) so a newbie who isn't experianced will also be disadvantaged by inferior weaponry etc adding to what will be a frustrating game if your being wiped out all the time.

I had to knock my settings down a notch to allow the game to flow alot better than the reccomended settings but its a great game and should be in any ones library

Yeah it happened to me too , I never got to try it . It's weird because I really have a good comp .
