Here's a crazy idea, but there is this site, Premium Link Upgrade , I know, its a small one and you may not have heard of it, but it actually has a ranking for each girl that is based on searches, links, clicks, and rating of their content, wouldn't that be a pretty good metric to go off?

If you're just looking for a daily snapshot of a pornstar's level of buzz, then yes, I suppose the Freeones Babe Rank page would be the ideal resource - although I doubt the number of searches would be statistically valid.
It is because of this apparent small sample size that the babe rankings you speak of are vulnerable to HUGE day-to-day fluctuations, and therefore do not address pornstar popularity from a historical perspective.

Short of establishing a ranking of the four legends of this poll, the best chance [at Freeones] of answering the question of who reigns supreme among the group, came from Wolverine’s March/April Madness Tournament.
Unfortunately however, of the four, only Tori Black appeared in the competition.

Unfortunately, the tool cannot be used here to resolve my Battle of the Legends poll.
For example, if I were to select Jenna Haze, the graph would show a current pornstar rank of 91 and an overall rank of 99.

I'm sure most fans would agree that Jenna Haze deserves a much better ranking than 99 on the list of all-time most popular porn stars.

What you don't seem to understand is that freeones has been doing for years what you've spent probably more time fantasizing about doing, and that's compiling real-time stats from a huge sample population. If anything could make you realize how futile and pointless your threads are, what FreeOnes_Anders just shared with you should, if not, nothing will. It's highly amusing watching you try to debate the merits of your threads with the actual real numbers FreeOnes has accumulated over the years, it doesn't get any more real than what you just got enlightened with.

No one in the world, not even Madison Ivy's biggest fan, would say that she's the most popular pornstar of all time. Although the Freeones link is a nice feature, it is clearly limited in its scope.

Let me do some homework for you. Jenna Haze has consistently ranked in the 20s and 30s. Sasha Grey had some spikes into the 20s and teens but mostly 30's and 40s. Tori black took 2 years to inch into the top 100 but since 2009 has been top 10 or 20 consistently. A few times in top 5 but not nearly as long or as often than Jenna Jameson. Jenna is 40 and Tori 25. At the same age in their careers Tori couldn't hold Jenna's **** bucket.

So there you go. You've got the numbers. Does it support your opinion? No. Do you feel the need to justify your opinion with numbers? Why? To believe that you are the ultimate judge of porn talent? Make this project for your own head. To judge others opinions to be inferior to yours won't happen. We don't care. We don't want to live in your world. Don't look to us to justify your self worthiness.

Your problem, and it's a common problem for people that aren't really interested in the truth, is that you're more concerned with validating your own opinion than working the numbers for the sake of getting to the truth. Why haven't you poured over the stats that are readily available to you courtesy of FreeOnes? These are real-time stats from a huge sample population- Premium Link Upgrade they change constantly. If you're really interested in information there's enough there to keep you busy for a long time, no need to post polls and threads about it.

My advice would be to drop the term "legends". As Xfire pointed out, other than Jenna, these other girls, while popular for a time or being flavors of the day for awhile, are not (yet) actual legends. You want legends? Ginger Lynn, Vanessa del Rio, Christy Canyon, and any others who have actually made their way into everyday pop conversation, were/are legends. But if one wants to restrict it down to only those who view or really keep up with porn, sure, I guess most any girl can become a legend. Kinda like how these girls, who have been extras in a couple of B movies, pay photographers to take pictures of them on Rodeo Drive, not wearing panties when they get out of sports cars, are "Hollywood ***********" and get their stories on TMZ. All of your threads with polls are just taking your favs from the last decade and looking for opinions/support that they are legends. Like people who watch sports and take the current superstar and hype them up on past retired superstar.

I like all three in your poll that you are cheer leading as legends, plus Bree Olsen in your other thread. But would it be a better idea too bring these questions up on their babe threads?

Just some advice, because to be honest you are being schooled.
