Fredi Gonzalez was gonna be the next Braves manager once Bobby Cox retired for like the last 4 years, just no one would admit it. In fact, the Marlins probably lost a nice little payout from the Braves by firing him. It was the best thing that could ever happen to Gonzalez. He is a hell of a manager too, btw.
