Automatic or Manual transmission?

What kind of transmission do you prefer or are you driving with? Me personally I prefer Automatic cuz it's way easier.

I like performance cars and occassionally getting the performance out of them so it's a manual.

Also, if need to bypass the battery or starter to get it running you can always "pop" the clutch.

I own both types though.

My car now is my 2nd manual transmission car. I was about to go automatic but once you go stick you cant go back.

Although living in Los Angeles is being easy on my knee :(

Manual shift for me, more fun to drive.

I've always preferred manual. I was taught to drive stick-shift when I was 10. We lived out in the sticks so my parents wanted us all to know how to drive in case there was an emergency.

However, now that I live in an urban area with a lot of traffic I've switched to automatic. The stop-start-stop-start of traffic is much more of a pain when you have to keep riding the clutch.

what the fuck you lookin at?
I believe that everyone should learn to drive stick when the first get behind the wheel in drivers ed or wherever. After that, if you want to get an automatic then fine, but at least learn on a stick!

Stick is fun, automatics are convenient. There are pros and cons to both. These so called "auto stick" thing they have on cars today is fuckin garbage!

Since I don't live in America , aren't most cars with an automatic transmission in The US? And when you go to a driving school , don't they teach you how to drive in an automatic transmission car?

Depends on which car I'm driving. Sports car: definitely manual (control gearing/shifting) Everything else: manual for ease

Thats what I cant stand about these new sports cars, their making them for everyone to drive.

I just find it weird to see a Lambo that is automatic.

It's not really driving unless it's a stick.:D

In a bell tower, watching you through cross hairs.
I have an automatic for 2 reasons.

#1) I drive a tractor trailer, and shift gears all day.
#2) If my wife needs to drive, because I've had a few. She refused to learn how to drive a manual, so I had no choice.

High-end performance sports cars like Ferraris, Lambos & the like should never even be offered in a manual. If you can't drive a stick, you shouldn't be driving that car. I saw a show (Rides maybe) where one of these damn piece of shit rappers bought a Ferrari (or another performance auto) and paid an exorbitant amount of money to get it changed from a stick to a manual. Why??? Learn to drive a stick. It's not vary difficult.

I first learned how to drive with a manual when I was living in Colorado.

Now, I prefer automatic in this crazy south florida traffic.

the last nine cars i have bought have had manual transmission. would not consider buying an automatic.
