Attachments problem

I'm wanting to post an ID request, but for some reason I'm unable to attach images to my post. Perhaps there was something very obvious I need to have done when I registered to enable this; I don't know.

Is there anything I can do myself to fix this? If not, I would greatly appreciate any help and advice. Thanks in advance.

Use the "manage attachments" button when creating a thread. This will give you a pop-up to browse and the upload an image.

Be aware that the image will not be visible until a mod approves it.

There must be something wrong with my settings, as there does not appear to be a 'manage attachments' button anywhere on the page. Whereabouts should the button appear, and what does it look like? Is it the one that looks like a paperclip, next to the smiley?

As I said, I think it's very likely that I made a mistake during the registration process which is resulting in me not being able to add attachments. If it's something that I can't correct, will I have to register again?

Then there is definitely something wrong, because under 'attach files' there is no button. Is it possible to fix this?

Your permissions are all normal. It has nothing to do with your registration, at least from what I see as the admin.

I think that now you should: 1) clear your history and cookies (freeones cookies anyway), 2) shut down and then try.

If that doesn't work, I'd try to run a different browser.

You do know that the image Aegis has shown is on the screen that appears after you hit "New Topic", right?

Okay, I tried deleting history and cookies as you suggested, but it hasn't made any difference. Thank you for the advice, though.

However, it's just occured to me that I don't neccessarily need to do it via an attachment - I can post an imagevenue link which I uploaded. In fact that would be better. So I'll do that instead. (Why didn't I think of that before..?!)
