I think a lot of white guys [and hispanics and blacks for that matter] are fearful of being even remotely considered "gay." Their preoccupation with "what's gay" and "what's not" reveals an insecurity and a lack of personal freedom which they are only choosing to confine themselves to. If you like different kinds of food nobody will judge you for that. Is it not possible to be a sexual omnivore - to enjoy many flavors of sex in a continuous spectrum rather than having to arbitrarily dissect that range of possible experiences as though that has some real meaning beyond your own parochial upbringing. I suppose it gay for a guy to enjoy touching a penis - so all you guys better stop jerking off - 'cause that would be very "gay." To me - as a sexual omnivore - you're splitting [pubic] hairs in an area where you might have a lot less stress and a lot more happiness if you would let your horses run free. Loosen up dudes!
I think this is a little weak. With the liberal enviornment we're in basically trying to make men effeminate, I can see why people are weary. When you add in the craziness of teachers molesting students, men raping one another, priests raping little boys, frat boys doing stuff to one another when they're drunk---and the Media making a farce of it like in American Pie, no wonder folks just want their distance.
I don't know where the gayness starts or stops for people, but I don't think much of the old chestnut where some guy is like "Oh relax, it's not gay" when they just want wider acceptance of their own gayness.
