The I don't think that this is a newsworthy story guys just need to get out and soak it in a nice warm one for a change e.g. get laid for christ sake ! .... only then will you feel compassion ! :D
It's all part of that I'm not gettin it anyway so f/o and die bitch attitude that needs some adjustment... I Think.

Is'n unbelievable. No person on this planet should pass away like this! And she was so young :(
I hope they find the murderer pretty soon

Oh. I'm not pretending like I actually care about this girl, so I must not have been laid recently. :1orglaugh:confused:

250,000 people die each day, but lets all get upset because the young, pretty white girl died.

amirite?

That is true, and it is definitely fucked up, but people like to pick and choose which events they want to get pissed off at. I would bet money this wouldn't even be news if she wasn't an aspiring playboy model. It'd just be another murder in Miami.

Here in Chicago, people get killed on a daily basis.Babies being dropped into dumpster, high school killing sprees, gang shootings,it all gets covered, white and black.Your point is both accurate and not at the same time.

I think that the violent act on a pretty white woman does get a lot of attention, but that's no one's fault but the media and their coverage of it,but it doesn't make it any more tragic than if a little 6 year old boy gets shot and killed in the middle of a drive-by.

I do totally understand your point though but only somewhat agree with it.I think that no matter where it happened, there would be coverage of anyone getting killed and burned beyond recognition then thrown in the dumpster.But...

Diva, what gives? You're sounding bitter. Why are you bring race into it anyway?

I'll say this much, just watch that fucking dumb bitch Nancy Grace.Pretty much every one of her stories involves white girls of differing ages.I don't think that I've ever seen her talking about any Blacks or Hispanics getting killed,I could be wrong though.Point is that she focuses on mainly white families.

I think that there is actually a statistic stating that young white women that die in tragic incidents or especially if they go "missing",gets more media attention, both nationally and locally, than any other group of people.

Remember that woman Jennifer Wilbanks?

I am not feeding into the race thing no matter what color her skin is it is very sad!

Agreed. It is very sad and shit like this needs to stop happening,no matter what color people are.

I think that people that commit crimes like this should be eradicated from our planet. They serve no use to society and should be treated like vermin.

Perhaps because it's that much less likely to happen, or is that not a good enough reason? The News groups are a bit fickle like that.

Or is it that they just feel that it's more of a ratings grabber because more people care less about minorities in the same situation? I don't know, but I bet the people running those networks sure do,or at least think they do.

Very true,,,, Is the BF is a bit suspicious or what?:dunno:
Isn't the BF or husband always suspicious?

As they're in the business of getting viewers, I don't think there's any doubt that they want to grab people's attention. If that means they highlight an unusual example should anyone be surprised? There is such a thing as 'exposure fatigue', you can raise awareness of situations with the exceptional, I don't necessarily think that equates to prejudice however.

Yes because The First 48 is a news program. Point is it helps to get the information out to the public. It doesn't matter if it is a reality show or if it is the news media. People watch the show and see the stories. I also wouldn't watch AMW to see what was in the news. Any show that gets the info out on wanted criminals is a good show. :2 cents:
This is where we disagree. You can't get current info from a show like First 48. AMW you can. Everytime the FBI updates their most wanted list and that person is featured on AMW, that's current events AKA "news". First 48 is a documentary style reality TV show. It's not current. They film the show, then air it weeks or months later. Most of the cases have already been solved by the time the show airs. Thus you have a show that is quite simply for entertainment.

I agree. I don't exactly know why, but an incredibly beautiful, young woman who is found dead has always effected me, since I'm a guy who's always admitedly had some self-esteem issues (and never major I feel I need therapy over; just a few personal matters) with feeling I was never good looking enough, I've always had this idealizing of overtly feminane bauty being lost in this world. And no, it doesn't man that I am any less personaly up-set if someone infamous who is often considered less attractive or homely dies. It is just that the loss of such great beauty exiting our always bickering world.

And I don't truely know why, but it's just always been that way with me. May she rest in peace.

Kudos on being the first person to have enough balls to admit that. Instead of making it seem like we (the ones who are saying that people only care about this story because the girl in it is pretty) are egotistical jackasses with a God complex, you chose to just openly admit that you are effected by a person's looks when it comes to a tragic story. So, kudos for that.

ChefChiTown,

Thanks a lot for the rep my Chicago-based (or I presume) friend. I just noticed that.

And again, really it's apprechiated. While I agree that i'salways BEYOND fucking horrible with the immdiate days following afterward if ANYONE is killed, because for the most part, people live in areas with close family/relatives and best friends are there, and their deaths impact them the most, there has always been this somewhat beyond hypnotic feeling I get when an incredibly lovely woman shown as dead. Maybe it's because, and no offence meant to my society overall as a whole or to the many counties I've lived in as my family has moved many times because of my parents jobs over the years, but since I often find beautiful, model-perfect (as in model, popular actress and adult film star) is often VERY rarely seen to me, that once thatbeautiful woman exists this world into the after life, it's always prfounded effected me.

Again thanks for the support. Honestly thought I was gonna get pummeled for admitting to it. *shrugs*
