What is so special about Arsenal v Celtic in Champion's League qualification? Is there some sort of history between the clubs that I'm not aware of? The British/London media seems to be in a lather over this matchup...

No in fact it's the first time they have ever played each other in a competitive Match.

However it does give the papers a chance to use "Battle of Briton" and stuff like that in headlines.

There's no history between the clubs, it just the old Scotland vs. England thing that the press go mental over.

So..all that William Wallace/Edward Longshanks...Battle of Sterling Bridge history gets "fired up" ahead of time?

Hmm, based on that photo of Patrick McGoohan, it looks like Longshanks might've been the shirt template for Arsenal's red and white look, eh?

I don't understand why the "******" is a description of exsanguination on this side of the Atlantic, whereas it's considered singularly vulgar (or at least was) on that side.

What I'd like to see is some sort of dictionary/glossary of Cockney rhyming slang: fascinating use of the language.

Why do the judges and lawyers wear those white wigs during court? Do they symbolize something?

Thanks. So is it actually warmer in the south there or no?

You'll have to bear in mind that in the UK we just have weather - we don't have set climate. For example, one day in summer it could be nice, sunny and warm, and the next day it could be windy, cold and rainy. This pattern is replicated all over the UK.
