I do indeed think that part of this is just being lazy, but I think another part may be that the poster is a real amateur at finding porn. Lack of experience may be keeping the member from finding what he wants. But it does bother me also. It's like these people who post "What's your craziest sex story?" and then don't even start it off with one of their own.

IMHO, if this thread hadn't been started by someone as respected, and well known as A&J, I would have shouted "TROLL!:thefinger" Starting a thread titled "are porn watchers lazy" on an adult-entertainment oriented site is like shouting "Hail" at a WWII veteran's convention. I understand what you are going for Ace, but I'm not sure what type of answers you are expecting. It's either gonna be "yup, i'm a lazy bastard" or "hey, who you calling lazy?" neither one offers any intellectual input into any subject.
I don't mean to disrespect my elders in anyway, but common...

Just like any other question posed that requires a yes or no answer, I expect to get feel for the numbers who agree or disagree. If yes or no is all that you can offer intellectually, that's fine. But there are others who can offer an opinion on why they agree or disagree. In fact, opinions of those that disagree are the ones that will make me determine if I'm correct or if I'm just being to anal and should go with the flow.

I gotta say no. In my case as bluecollar working where there is blood, sweat and pain. This day is the only lazy day I got where I can heal and stay cool. Girlfriend help make the pain go away.

Good point BFSP, I have said the same thing in other threads and gotten chastised. I am glad A & J brought it up. Some here don't even want anyone suggesting search. I for one don't like it when people act as though this is 411 and start threads wanting stuff, sit back and wait for us to do the work. I will go out of my way to help with things difficult to find, if they've tried and not been successful. That's different, I even post a link that contains information on the topic if the starter didn't give enough information. Stuff that I Google a key word and up pops 15,708 hits in 0.3 seconds. Faster by the way than starting a thread. :dunno: yes that angers me.

Yes, they def. should put in some effort. If they can't find what they're specifically asking about/for, they can at the very least post a pic or link saying, "This isn't EXACTLY what I want, but it gives you the general idea" or some such.

I was thinking along the lines that people should, if possible, give an example. It gives a better impression and may also help people better understand exactly what's being requested.
But then I remembered that I have created a couple of threads where I asked for something specific, and I really can't remember whether I posted examples or not. :rofl:


I also think that this applies to most any kind of thread. It's like when people post a link to a story or news article. I prefer that they give their opinion on it as well first, instead of just giving the link and then wait for responses.


With that said, I'm not bothered by any of this.

For those that are not quite reading this right, I'm not saying porn watchers are lazy. What I'm asking is if people who start threads asking others to post links to specific things, such as 3 legged hermaphrodites, yet fail to provide any links themselves, should they at least put in a little effort and post some links to start the thread? I think some of you are just reading the title of the thread and not the body.

to answer your question - yes, the original poster (asking the question) should indeed start the ball rolling in a particular direction by giving us his/her view/recommendation. there is absolutely nothing wrong with a thread being slightly vague or uncertain in its purpose but even a useful web link can give more credibility to the thread.

anyhow, i don't think porn watchers are lazy. lazy conjures up images of being unemployed, over-weight, inept, useless, not credible, non-punctual, addicted to watching porn (repetitive). i am none of those, and certainly not all of them at any one time
