apology email a good idea?

I understand, if you've sincerely changed then you may be wanting to see things from a different perspective, to see how you would handle them now. Everyone is right that it is probably a bad idea, but if you really can't get past it, then you might as well try. You don't really have anything to lose, thigns can't really be any more fucked up then they are now...

however, if that isn't the case, if you are unsure that you have changed and that there is a possibility that things could go back to the way they were in a bad way and you can't handle dealing with her at her potential worst and not changed at all, then it's not worth it no matter what.

No, it's not a good idea. But....

You're going to do it anyway, so why ask?

Move on. If she wanted to contact you, she would.

But since it's your life, do what you want. just don't expect things to be as good as you hope.

If you just wanted to talk to somebody because you felt you did wrongdoing to that person in the past that you wanted to apologize for, and that's all you wanted to do, it might be fine if depending on certain circumstances. Even then I might wait longer or wait for a chance meeting. However from what you stated it seems you want more than that, and like everybody has said it's probably a bad idea. Sometimes what's done is done and it's better not doing something that is just going to make it worse when there is no possibility of it working out.

wasn't sure when i started this thread but now i am. i'll just roll the dice and hope for the best.

You were definitely sure that you were going to e-mail here anyway before you started this thread. 99% of the posts on here are telling you that it's a TERRIBLE idea, yet...you're going to do it anyway? :dunno:

Q: Why ask for advice if you're not going to listen?
A: Because you already made up your mind before you started this thread.

Justify it with that 1 in 20 post that says 'GO FOR IT D00D!'
