Anyone Here Workout?

Hey, just wondering if anyone here lifts on a regular basis. Ever since I started lifting I've been able to become hard more easily, bigger, and been able to last longer. It's amazing what working out will do for your sex life.

On a side note, I'm actually working on becoming a personal trainer. Anyone here a personal trainer? Has anyone taken the ACSM certifaction test?

I've been personally lifting since I was about 15, mostly in the beginning to get into better shape to play baseball, but now more so to keep myself near that shape. I took the ACSM when I graduated from college and worked for the first year and a half out of college as a trainer.

I lift 3x a week. I also jog and cycle (some spinning) but I've been forced to lay off jogging due to being an idiot and developing plantar faciitis. :(

Just a tip for the runners or would be runners...when you're told to buy good shoes for your bodytype/gate and change them out every 350-500 miles...do it. Even if it's over $100 a shot.

I just walk - everywhere and very fast. I do some very basic weights :o

..And I'm careful what I eat, and take a few daily multivitamins:)

I find it pretty amazing what regular sex with someone you've fallen in love with can do for your sex life... More intense orgasms, MUCH better sex, ohhhhh the passion and pleasure... Un-Imaginable!

Don't have to work out for that. Working out hasn't helped it at all for me... Just me general health.

I'm a champion at beer mug dead-lift. :glugglug:

The first two years of running I ran in Vans. I am probably very lucky I never got shin splints.

I work out regularly and with a high level of intensity but haven't noticed a change in libido. I wouldn't say I eat right, so maybe that has something to do with there not being a difference.

I will say that when I'm working out regularly and not traveling (which is most of the time), I do feel a bit more randy... maybe it's an increase in hormones or just feeling more healthy.

Three lullabies in an ancient tongue
I do a serious weight/resistance regimen 3 times a week (a vigorous 1 hour workout). It has literally changed my life. I am stronger, more flexible and more energetic than ever. I do not do cardio....I have tried to get into a cardio routine and I just can't stick with it but the weights are totally different. I'm 56 fucking years old and I am in the gym pushing iron with kids less than half my age. My legs are amazingly strong (always have been but I never worked on developing them until recent months). I can squat 500 pounds (not many reps but I can do it) and my 21 year-old super-buff son can only do 350. I feel like some over-age super stud as a result. Maybe some of you serious dudes can out-do me but I'm pretty proud of being this physically fit after all these years and after all this abuse! LOL....anyway, work-out everyone! It's so good for you!!!!

Just do it! You'll be glad you did!

Used to about 4/7 per week for years.
I never did it for ego or anything but yeah, you can get petty cut & shapely.

The funny thing is that the body has "memory" because every time I restarted after a layoff I'd just buff right back up again lol ! This is nice ! I earned it.
Fortunately, I never got so huge that I have stretch marks or loose skin today.

BTW : Free weights all the way

Does anybody have a good barbell stuck on your chest without a "spotter" story?  Actually it's wasn't very funny . . . at the time.

When I was in college, I watched a pair of really arrogant guys try to outdo one another benching from 250 upwards. First guy, (who I'd put at about 5'11" maybe 155) got the weight up, with help from his spotter , and proceeded to drop it on his chest. He tried to bounce it up, but his spotter pushed it down and it landed right on his nuts. That's the first time I've seen a guy burst into tears at the gym.

and that is why at the gym you only lift what you can. try to impress ppl and you end up losing your ability to have kids.

I don't do squats anymore after this....

I gained a sore coccyx due to work and found out it would take over 6 months to recover. The 6 months is long since over but I am wary of starting it up again when doing crunches. Any advice?
