About 3 days ago I was driving and I got REALLY dizzy (my eyes literally felt like there were doing this:
) for about 30 seconds. I pulled over and waited for it to fully pass, and when I started driving again, about 5 minutes later, it happened again. It continued for 2 days kind of intermittently so I went to see the doctor. He told me that I had a mild case of "benign vertigo," citing a luandry list of both singular and compunded potential explanations as to how it came about, and that I should take dramamine or meclazine once, to twice daily and that it should eventually pass. Since then, I haven't had any dizzy spells, but I just feel perpetually light-headed, not to mention extremely anxious about driving.
I was wondering if anyone on the board has had a similar experience. If so, how long did it last? Were you prescribed any medication or suggested any OTC ****? Did you have anxiety associated with it? Nausea or headaches? Did you ever figure out what the cause of it was?
It seems like several people I know have had a bout with it, to varying degrees, in their lifetimes, so I'm interested to see how many people on this forum, if any, can relate.
