Any Outsiders You Would Like To See Run For President?

OK, if we are being honest with ourselves how many people really want to see Biden vs Trump 2? Be nice in America if we could do better than that. We're divided into tribes and we fling poo at each other on a daily basis not even knowing why. The more seasoned politicians that are more likely to run do not impress me. Is there someone from outside of the political world that you would like to see give it a shot and run for President. People have mentioned Jon Stewart, Oprah Winfrey, Mark Cuban, and some others that I cannot remember at the moment. Elon Musk is an interesting guy but not eligible to run for President.

He's got HUGE upside with a very wide audience.

Even if he was the Dem candidate, I bet a lot of hardcore GOP Wrasslin' fans would gladly vote for him.

I think the only thing against him is that he has Canadian citizenship. It would be sad to see him have to renounce it just to run.
(Although Canadians were happy to see Cruz renounce his citizenship - he's the US's problem now!)

I would consider voting for either a moderate Democrat or Republican. I might have voted for 2008 Joe Biden but not the upcoming 2024 version. If The Rock ever found his pathway I might vote for him.

The wrestling business is a good developmental for politics. Don’t break kayfabe and the heels and faces are clicking Champagne glasses in the locker room together laughing at all the gullible marks in the audience that are eager to get worked time and time again.

Haven't we learned that running a government should not be entertainment? I guess 'Fuck No' is the answer. Jon Stewart is funny and has good presentation skills, but the Presidency requires more. Reagan was governor of California for eight years - he had experience before becoming President.

I see your point too. We had Larry Elder trying to become Governor. He is a good critic of government but managing government is a different story. Arnold was beating his chest then the girly men bent him over the toilet.

Given the choices we have shouldn't we open our minds to other types of candidates? The lifetime political crooks seem to stay around covering their own tracks to make laws benefitting their stock portfolios.

Rich people rarely go to jail, nor do they get rich without being criminals. Rarely.

I inherited a lotta-lotta money that my family worked, invested, and sacrificed hard for even if I'm a bum myself. Bums are a protected victim class out here too so I've also evolved as a human being.

I remember you saying you inherited quite a bit, which is fantastic, and definitely excludes you from the oughta-be-in-jail crowd.

What I did before I inherited the money does though.

Having money is nice but I wish I was broke for 10 minutes just so I could punch somebody in the mouth.

One of my good friends lost his dad to cancer when we were in high school. Come to find out, his dad had huge insurance policies through the company he worked for, paid out several million. Him and his mom moved away, but he was never happy about being suddenly rich.

I get the concern that people might feel more comfortable seeing a politician or someone with such experience as president, but the fact of the matter is, the actual brains are the people who work for the POTUS. Those daily briefings (which trump famously ignored) basically lay out everything, including all the options/decisions they have to make. As long as they are willing take the time to read these & rationally think about the options, prior knowledge or experience isn't an absolute prerequisite.

I hear what you’re saying, but making the decisions requires prior experience. If you have a bad mechanic, you don't go find an accountant to fix your car - you find a better mechanic. Experience has value.

How about Jason Sudeikis running with Julia Louis Dreyfus?

I'm more a Powers Boothe from 24 as President Daniels kinda guy.
I think being an actual corpse disqualifies him.

Since Bill Belichick is over 70, how about Mike Tomlin? Although he keeps losing in the playoffs, he has never had a losing season.

In a bell tower, watching you through cross hairs.

While this is true, it also gives them time to hone their criminality. Sometimes, sometimes, going in, with a little less experience might give a person, time to see a perspective from more sides. Although I personally believe anyone that wants that much power, wants it for themselves, not the people.

Years ago, I pulled that in an interview for a job driving a gas tanker for Sun refining (Sunoco). # against one interview, and when my experience came up I told them, "I may have never hauled gas before, but if you think about it like this, I have no experience, but what you will teach me. So I won't be able to do it, any other way, then the way you want me to". They looked at each other, clearly impressed by either my brilliant insight, or stunning ability to bull shit them, but I got the job. Believe it or not, hauling gas is a great job, but you get the shittiest work schedules.
