any old-school peeps remember mtv??

I miss the old Mtv. I loved watching videos and Beavis and Butthead. For the past decade or so it's become complete shit. The reason why Mtv was created was to allow people to watch music videos (what a concept. Imagine that). For the past few years you only get bullshit shows and the occasional rap video, when they decide to play videos. All in all, I think Mtv was created for a generation that was much different from today's youth.

Me too. I'm convinced they need to release Daria, and some of those old Nickelodeon shows on dvd. I wonder why they haven't done that yet...

I've mentioned this before. They're having trouble getting clearance from the artists who did a lot of the songs on the show.

Ironically MTV stands for Music Television yet they hardly play music nowadays!

Then in 1996 they debuted MTV2 which was to be more music but even that's been toned down!

Hell, VH1 Video Hits is not I Love the whatever and Best Week Ever bullshit!

Nah piss on 'em!

Yep. I remember Yo Mtv Raps, Club Mtv, Liquid Television [AEON Flux was the shiznit!], LoveLine, AMP, The Andy Dick show [Fucking hilarious], Undressed, and an old favorite; Dead @ 21...those were cool shows.

If I want to watch music videos, I tune in to the SONY channel from Venezuela.
