I really don't think this one help, mostly stuff gets stolen in the night. I don't think that they look first if there is rust on the car, they grab it and look at it at their hideout. Besides I think they know what's real and not.

It can be that after awhile, you totally forget it is a sticker and you try to sell it cheap because of the rust on it :1orglaugh

I really don't think this would work. Cars are generally stolen for parts around here anyway, so it really doesn't matter what they look like.
