I wanna see the vid of our current Prez talking about the 57 states he's made it to ...or really, just about any time he didn't have his teleprompter to tell him what to say...what was that expression...hmmm...oh yeah: you can tell he's lying, his lips are moving!
Show some'a those vids where he promised everybody everything...

(Bush didn't use a 'prompter, did he?):dunno:
After a few more years of Obama the Bush years are gonna be referred to as the "Not So Bad Times"...

Re: Answering the Bush "Miss Me Yet?" Billboard: Do you miss George W. Bush as Presid

In fairness, Bush was not responsible for nor does he have any connection to those who put up the billboard.

For you history buffs, imagine it is winter of 1934 in the midst of the great depression and FDR is president and someone puts up a similar sign with Herbert Hoover as the "Miss me yet?" reference. It fascinates me that the republicans act like they had no involvement in the horrific mess in which we now find ourselves....that it is all Obama's fault. I think that view has been also reflected in their "just say no" philosophy toward just about everything that Obama has tried to initiate thus far to address the issues.

"Miss me yet"?? Are you kidding? We've still GOT you....at least we still have the mess that was left by you (and others....can't blame GWB for everything....he had lots of help on both sides of the aisle).

"course I did...Stewart has his Hollywood head up his corporate ass most of the time, but funny is funny...
I find your "Bush is Dumb" thing a bit lame as you think The Chosen One is a brilliant Prez, just give him (more) time etc...George wasn't dumb by any stretch of the lamest Lib stifled imagination, and a great deal of his worst results were due to a Dem majority Congress and many Dem power politicians keeping him from enacting meaningful change, like Freddie Mac/Fannie May and the Dodd/Frank fuck us all cabal...Rangel and other great Dem grafters gave us the meltdown more than any of the Republican actions did...
I had a lot of Bush criticism and am still a registered Democrat...but the BS has gone so far left, that I'm left out here on the right side of center due to Obama and his crazy lefties moving the center line so far over.
And you post the usual typical one way Leftie bs and bash GWB 'cause others have given you the material that you just repeat over and over.

Re: Answering the Bush "Miss Me Yet?" Billboard: Do you miss George W. Bush as Presid

I wouldn't go so far as to say I miss him, but we're not any better off than we were under this administration. What the fuck has Obama done?

Hard to see any progress with as bad as shit was and as worse as it continued to get....

Afghanistan was so fucked up and near failure that of course the initial acts Obama took in turning that around wouldn't be apparent for a while. No different from the economy.

It is the beginning of his 2nd year. He has a whole lot of time to shut up his naysayers.

As if the guy was supposed to change all of the shit that was fucked up in our economy in a year. I know we are part of the microwave generation but let's get real.

BTW, Cheney correctly points out that the timeline for withdrawal in Iraq was a policy they effected. But let's not forget that it was also a policy they resisted time and time again. Even derided, proponents of it..Now that Obama comes along and calls for it and has one an election in part based on it...the Bushites effect a timeline so close to the one Obama called for that there was no need for him to change a thing about it.

If you can imagine maybe this year what are the possibles that are likely to go right...there are going to be allot of suicidal GOPers.

As it stands, the only thing they are really hanging their hats on is the fact that things were so fuck that they can take advantage of the slow change.

NFL....not for long....;)

In answer to the question....uh, yes and no. As prodigious as GWB was in fucking our county but good...he was equally prodigious in his ability to make me belly laugh at his spontaneous episodes of buffoonery.

You think he was prevented from enacting meaningful change? When he was in power the republicans were the majority in congress and he could do any damn thing he pleased and the Dems didnt do anything about it. WTF are you talking about? Whatever 'meaningful' change he had, he saw to it. Also you must be standing on your head to think that the political spectrum has shifted to the left. All I see these days are teabaggers. Sure Obama deserves some criticism but to say he's worse than Bush is just ignorance.

Not even close...damn, do some research and have an original idea or two on occasion...
When did the Repubs have a 60 seat majority and how was it possible to have the FM/FM regulatory proposals blocked? By GWB just being nice to the protesting Dems?
The last 2 years of GWBs time the Dems ruled the Congress...nothing got fixed worth talking about...
Presidents are not kings, and they have to get legislation from Congress before signing it into Law.
Executive fiats are limited and can cause a serious congressional backlash if used without discretion...

And the years before? Yeah im sure you're right, if congress had only faithfully yielded all power and confidence over to Sir Bush then everything would have come into fruition.:rolleyes:There would be complete victory in Iraq and they would all be wearing t-shirts saying 'I Love America'. Those damn libs have to ruin everything right?

7 years of a republican majority wasn't enough?

During formal speeches all of them use teleprompters. Plus, Obama's malaprop about the states was simply a slip of the tongue....Bush's gaffes were consistent and often (noo-cue-ler for instance). Anyone who thinks that Obama can't speak off-the-cuff needs to watch a replay of the encounter he had several weeks ago with the republican caucus. It was 140 against 1, no teleprompter and he more than held his own brilliantly.

Here it is for your convenience since you appear to have missed it. It's definitely worth the time:

Talk about his broken or unfulfilled promises all you want, Philby, but there's no comparison between the English language proficiency levels (nor, quite honestly and no disrespect at all meant toward GWB, intelligence quotients) of these two presidents. Can you imagine GWB in the same circumstances?

Re: Answering the Bush "Miss Me Yet?" Billboard: Do you miss George W. Bush as Presid

Let's see: Under Bush's 8 yrs. we had...

A stolen election.
The highest gas prices EVER!
A gas shortage.
Unemployment at its highest.
The beginning of a recession.
A grossly mishandled natural disaster.
One of the greatest tragedies in US history on 9/11
...and a war...that kinda isn't.

Nah. I can honestly say I don't miss him whatsoever.

(don't get me started about third parties. They WILL NEVER WIN)

Only because the American people are basically lemmings and sheep, and they won't leave their comfort zones long enough to vote for anything but the two major mafia families.

It actually amazes me that Baskin-Robbins has been so successful here... offering 31 flavors in a country where people get confused over more than two choices.

Do I miss Bush? Uh, no. I wanted my vote back about two years after I voted for his dumb, lying ass the first time.

I do miss the humor :hatsoff:

Well yeah, you can't deny that the old boy was good for a laugh. If he'd just been the leader of some other country, we could have had a really good laugh, without being part of the joke ourselves.

Nah. I can honestly say I don't miss him whatsoever.

The election was not stolen. Gore lost fair and square and cried like a little bitch. Get over it.

There was never a gas shortage. OPEC cut production of crude oil and futures traders artificially jacked up the prices.

Better check your numbers on the unemployment rate.

Was Bush a complete tool? Absolutely fucking yes he was. But then again they all are.

I do not hate Obama any more than any other President. They have all done some good things and some bad. My problem is with the media being so far up his ass. The media had all the mindless droves convinced that everything would turn around in a hurry. The economy is a cycle and will always have ups and downs. No one man can fuck things up as bad as they are without help. Bush got plenty of help from Congress, on both sides of the aisle. The same thing goes with fixing problems. Obama can't fix anything without help, and Congress won't do shit to fix things.

Stop blaming one man for everything that goes wrong. And don't expect one man to fix things. Think for yourselves, people.:2 cents:

It's factual that recessions and depressions skip eight years of responsibility.
When it began, I heard quite a few say it was Clinton's fault. Now, it is Obama's fault.
Bush was nothing more than a grown up boy with a frat-boy mentality. Had the tragedy of 9/11 never taken place, we most likely would have only seen four years of his incompetence.
