I don't know how much Mr.FreeOnes has to do with the site anymore, but way back two of the smartest things he did (Or others did for him, I'm not familiar with how it was done.) was get in early before a lot of sites had a chance to compete with him, and even more importantly make it a legitimate site that didn't cater to pirates and was an actual business, unlike most porn gathering sites then or now. That actually lets the industry interact with it. Having the best messageboard the industry has for fans, and probably the best for the industry period, also helped a great deal.

That gave it a large boost and also put it in a position where it's almost perpetually on top, and it looks like it will be hard to ever remove it from that baring FreeOnes screwing up badly, or somebody else putting in so much money and effort they probably won't want to do it in the first place.

Mr FreeOnes himself is the one im reporting to but he only follows the big lines. I got in personally in 2005 and back then it was a pretty big site already with a loyal following. From there we took off to where we are now always re-investing into the site. We still work according his vision of course but im glad his and mine (and the rest of the teams) vision are pretty close. The surfer is always #1. It would've been easy to turn it into a tube but we had different plans
