Of course that does go against US code for proper flag treatment (as has Dubya when he had the audacity to AUTOGRAPH a flag for his fans!), but in this case, I think it's only ********* the letter of the law because in spirit it's treating the flag with great reverence, bringing the symbol of our country that much closer to the heavens....
