what a lame ploy to get publicity. The only ocho-cinco that i care about are the ocho-cinco chicago bears!

Da bears!

'nuff said.

da bears!!!

Now he can wear Ocho Cinco on the back of his jersey and his coach can't say shit.

Thoughts?

This guy is an arrogant, ego-maniacal jackass. Not you, Tubuler. :D

And what is it with the WR position? Why is it always these guys that turn into the most conceited jackholes in all of football?

I give you: Randy Moss, Terrell Owens, Andre Rison, Michael Irvin, Johnson himself, Keyshawn Johnson...

:dunno:

This dude needs some serious help, something in him ain't right. Still funny though. "Ocho Cinco, get you ass over here!"

And the point was brought up earlier in the thread- "ocho-cinco" means eight-five

Eighty five would be "ochenta y cinco"

He's a childish millionaire that plays a GAME.

I think it's hilarious. I think it's even funnier that people are offended or upset about it. Big freakin deal... the guy loves attention, but he's so talented that people overlook his antics... again, big deal...

I think most people actually focus on the antics so much that they actually start to believe that he even has talent.

Over-rated, IMO.

He's not over rated IMO.
In the last 6 years he has averaged 88.5 catches per season at over 15.1 yards per catch.

Other top NFL receivers stats during that time:
Randy Moss: 77.6 catches, 14.5 yards per catch
T.O.: 78.3 cat, 14.6 ypc
Reggie Wayne: 77.8 cat. ,14.2 ypc

Randy Moss was on the Raiders for 2 of those years and we all know that the Raiders don't ever have a quarterback. And, I believe one of those years was his last year in Minnesota where he didn't get put all that much because of management/player issues.

Terrell Owens only played in like half of the games in 2005. Plus, he's on the Cowboys, who have a TE who catches a lot of passes for a TE. And, I don't think he is all that great anyway, IMO.

Reggie Wayne is on the Colts, who are built to have 4 WR sets consistently, which lowers his personal statistics.

I just think Chad Johnson is more hype than talent. Just like LeBron James on the Cavs. Yes...very good player, but the hype around him makes it seem like he's the "best ever"...which he's not.

NFL WR's are paid to stay healthy, catch passes and have a high average per catch.
He has done all 3 as well as anyone in the NFL over the last 6 years. That makes him a top 5 WR in my book.

Wow first i would take lebron over kobe any day
second lebron has accomplished more than anyone has at his age.
Kobe has a team around him and the most trouble the celtics got this year in the playoffs was from the Cavs.

"Kobe how my ass taste?"

I wish people would chill ..

He does these antics because people make a big deal out of them.
If people would just ignore them, and roll with them, then it wouldn't be a big deal.

Sigh ...

LeBron James is good and I'm not saying that he isn't. I'm saying that he's not as good as everyone makes him out to be. He's no Michael Jordan and he never will be. Ever since the Cavs got LeBron, yes, they have gotten much better, but that's because the HYPE of LeBron James made players want to play in Cleveland. I'm originally from Cleveland and trust me, all you ever hear about is "LeBron James is AWESOME!!!", "everyone suck LeBron's dick or else!!!". If you spent a week in Cleveland, you'd quickly realize how over-rated he is.

Oh, and as for him not having a team around him and claiming that the Cavs gave the Celtics the most trouble during the playoffs...

LeBron James shot like 33% from the field or something shitty like that, soooooo...maybe he does have a team, just like Kobe, and that's why the Cavs gave the Celtics trouble.

I don't know how Lebron came up in a thread about Chad "Ocho Cinco". Looks like a hijacking is taking place.

Let me just say this in response to what's highlighted above. During the Gold medal game against Spain, while Lebron was missing lay-ups, Kobe was busy hitting tough jumpers in the clutch and he is the reason we closed that game out and won the gold.

Lebrons great, but his jump-shot is inconsistent.

Kobe is great, and his jumper is lights out.

Kobe over Lebron for now.
