Looks like its gonna be in 3-D :nanner: And at the same time just the storyline by itself is gonna sell this movie. Classic, remade. Usually shit, but this one looks pretty damn good!

Bring on The Jabberwocky!!! That fuckin thing gave me nightmares when I was a kid!

I'm looking forward to seeing it in 3-d, the trailers in 3-d look insane.

Oh great! A Tim Burton movie with exactly the same people in it as his last 10 movies.

While this is true, I still love his films. I'm also a dumbass, a dumbfuck, and a twat (a big-handed twat, for those who know what that means). I'll watch just about anything he makes.

I'll bitch about it for months afterwards, but I'll watch....

He's a good filmmaker, but I just wish he'd mix it up a little bit. The seemingly constant use of Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter etc, is now becoming nothing more than clichéd, they're basically the same characters in every movie in which they appear.

Personally I don't think he's made a really impressive movie since Ed Wood. But that's just me.......

Well, those of us in the Netherlands and possibly other parts of Europe, will never get to see Alice in the theaters. Evidently Disney has violated some agreement with the theaters over here with their intent to release the DVD 3 months after the movie release.

The result? All the theaters in the NL and across Europe are boycotting the movie. I've been looking forward to this for a very long time...ever since there was a possibility of American McGee doing a Dark Alice film. ::mad:

And the only IMAX theater over here has already said that even if Disney relents and goes with a later release date for the DVD, they're probably still not going to play it. I have a feeling a lot of theaters over here will follow suit.

I am really excited dont get me wrong but i still wish they would have went with the American Mcgee's Alice them like they planned.

I'm interested in this movie (although I was more interested in the American McGee Alice, I think Sarah Michelle Gellar was attached to it at one point) but I don't think I'm going to see it in 3D. I getting pretty tired of the 3D gimmick.

The theaters better get over this quick, because the turn-around time to DVD is only going to get shorter. Rich Ross, the recently promoted President of Disney Studios, has basically said that he sees the future of theaters as little more than advertising tools and launching platforms for DVD sales, and that Disney isn't too far away from releasing DVD's simultaneously with theater releases. Given the timing, his brash attitude (he's been on the job a matter of months and already has a reputation for steamrolling people) and his stated attitude toward DVD sales, my guess is that you can blame Ross for violating the agreement, too.

And he will be the same person boohooing because of lost revenue from people downloading the pirated versions of the movie.

I'm sticking to the '09 made-for-tv Alice.

That was actually a very good adaptation. Reminded me a lot of "Tin Man" (which was also a very good adaptation on The Wizard of Oz). Reunion Pictures/RHI Entertainment/SyFy (the common links between both) seem to be putting out some good stuff recently. I'll be interested to see what "Riverworld" looks like (their next project).

Still waiting for that one. :( The dutch sci-fi blows. All I get is a half a million episodes of Angel, a bit of sliders and firefly and maybe a movie every great once in awhile. None of the sci-fi mini series or anything...

Though we finally got Tin Man last may...so maybe in 2 more years Alice will get here.
