"Alaskan" Seagull

Less of a joke and more a rant about a joke.

I recieved an email with an animtaed gif of the bird you see in the attached pic, running into a store and running out with a pack of doritos. Why the rant you say, its all cute and adoreable?

The accompanying text said this -

"A seagull in Wasilla , Alaska has developed the habit of stealing Doritos from a neighborhood ****** store. The seagull waits until the Manager, Deeanne isn't looking, and then walks into the store and grabs a snack-size bag of cheese Doritos. Once outside, the bag gets ripped open and shared by other birds.

The seagull's shoplifting started early this month when he first swooped into the ****** store , and helped himself to a bag of Doritos. Since then, he's become a regular. He always takes the same type of chips.

The Manager thinks it's great because people are coming to watch the feathered thief make

the daily grab and run, and that's good for business, and especially since customers have begun paying for the seagull's stolen bags of Doritos because they think it's so funny. However, Deeanne did say, 'This is Alaska , and if that seagull starts to grab a six pack of **** to go along with the Doritos, I may have to put a stop to it."

Firstly, do they even have seagulls in alaska? I wasnt aware of it. Secondly, though you cant see it in the pic since the full gif couldnt be saved, you see the bird run ****** a National Lottery sign, yes, that lottery they play in the united kingdom. Thirdly, and perhaps most importantly, I saw that on the news months ago about it happening in northern scotland, Yes, scotland, not alaska. (Oh and I just noticed, its clearly from a british news channel by the red dot in the corner with the word "Press" next to it, a familiar site for BBC Viewers)

Why start this ****, whats the point of changing the location, to alaska of all ****** places?

tartanterrier

Is somewhere outhere.
Maybe they are just resurrecting an oldie. As this was definatly happening
in Aberdeen months or even perhaps a year ago. :)

Yes, they do have seagulls in some parts of Alaska at least, but that's besides the point. You're absolutely right. As Funkwerkz touched on, some idiot has made a crude attempt to somehow tie this in with the hubbub around Sarah Palin and the election. Wasilla, Alaska is the town she comes from and is the former mayor of.

I also think upcoming elections are the reason why they said alaska...funny they would comment on their ********.
