Actually if you consider that African Americans are descended from weak tribes who lost battles and were then sold into slavery, present day African Americans have a damn good deal. If you haven't already, google up the "Osu" untouchable class of west africa. That's the group African Americans would belong to if their ancestors hadn't been enslaved. Also if you consider that there are plenty of groups around the world who've had it much worse than them, it makes a lot of sense to tell AA's to STFU.

There are so many things wrong with this statement! It's a little unclear what point you're trying to make.

So are you defending the guys in the video? I mean, you did say it's a lot worse in other countries.

:ban:

How lovely. I always enjoy encountering the old "relatively speaking we were the more humane enslavers" rationale. That argument couldn't be more morally bankrupt, but it certainly gets trotted out frequently, nontheless.

I don't see it trotted out too much, it seems pretty taboo to say it. Heck I had a confrontation in the middle of a 300 lvl class for saying it. What I didn't expect was 8 people coming up to me after class saying they thought it was correct and asking where I had heard of the Osu. I told them one of them was worked with my brother while he was in the Peace Corps and had told us about it over the dinner table.

Anyway, black people and liberals in general only want to hear things that confirm their agenda...it's only funny when something unpleasant comes up and it shows how everyone's motives aren't so virtuous or progressive minded!
:glugglug:

srsly?

i dunno, but it sounds to me like you're saying african americans are better off for being enslaved all those years. :dunno:

To answer this question and the other that's very similar....yes.

set aside Enslaved Africans and let's say the cohort of African Americans who were 18+ before LBJ signed the bulk of the civil rights legislation, than yeah. Especially when you consider all those veterans who went off to war to serve the country and came back to being second class citizens (or even third class if you can think of such a thing) or other similar injured parties.

The rest is protecting a cottage injury of "racial justice" shakedown artists and all the other forms of circle jerks by liberal whites with a guilt fetish, black supremacists masquerading as sociology professors and just power hungry politicians. That's what really makes the black elite and the white elite so similar, whether they are the farthest right or the farthest left---it's a lust for power with themselves at the helm.

If the black power elite can use a racial angle to get themselves and their croneys into office or paid industry positions, than so be it. It's just another tool in their toolbag.:2 cents:

What is a "cottage injury" ?

Like when I cut my finger at the fishing bungalow in Manitoba?

:dunno:

It's just a typo. I was talking about the rise of a racial shakedown cottage industry that folks like Eric Holder, Cornell West, Jesse Jackson Sr./Jr. and thousands of lesser known people have used to make themselves rich. I later said that to add insult to injury, the white liberal elite encourages this behavior because of their masochistic urges.

 Oh wow, you're such a REBEL!!! You dare to defy the PC Thought Police!!! (and we can see the price you paid for it! 8 other knuckle-draggers scampered up to you afterwards to reward you for the brave act.) :lame:

There's a liberal conspiracy to cover up this information about the Osu!!!

Anyway, I had a relative (;)) who was a slave and he wrote a journal about his life as a slave after he was freed and "relatively humane" isn't one of the first things you think if you read through it... Well, not sane people, at least.

Where are going with this argument? It makes absolutely no sense! Plus, how does this connect with the OP? :dunno:

It almost sounds to me that the women in this video should be grateful that they wernt treated as badly as African Americans in the past?

I'm just trying to put 2 and 2 together! :dunno:

Legzman

what the fuck you lookin at?

Why don't you go back to my first post and see what I think of this and other videos showing black and white, green, yellow, purple Americans engaged in other than honorable behavior. I'll save you the effort. I believe that given enough examples these outliers can give an accurate impression of the general state of a nation/people/community.

When folks try to say "Oh you're only showing us in a bad light" well we're obviously all not angels. When I see black young people doing this silly crap (sadly tame compared to other uploaded videos) again and again, I wonder how much this points to the problems of Black America. But you know what, I'll say that in many ways, the black "community" is healthier than the white community. At least black women and men drag out and talk about the problems facing the community. The only place you'll see white men and white women hash it out is........I have no idea.

You also see some truly horrid, soulscarring stuff that white people are engaged in on the internet that I really don't see others (with the noted exception of the Japanese) replicating.

Here's one of the worst, worst, worst things: Cuckold Porn.

Figure that horrid shit out.

In the end I don't hate black america, I hate some of the bullshit they pull. What I really hate is how screwed up White America and the White Western world is in general. Read some of the EU's demographic projections and see where I'm coming from.:2 cents:

Stop replying to my post's please. You're wasting my time forcing me to scroll down past them.:1orglaugh

black people rule!!

count yourself lucky you weren't asked to report directly to the cotton fields the day after his inauguration.

Where is your post's please? What IS a post's please? How can one reply to a please?

Also, why do you scroll down past your post's please?

Strange....

In any case, it looks like you're trying that old stand-by debate technique of kids the world over, of plugging your ears and singing because someone has recognized that your points are pure silliness.

In that case you've either led a fairly sheltered existence and/or you're young.
There's nothing unique or original about your argument. Slavery apologists have been using it for a very very long time.

I am relatively young, but I definitely haven't led a sheltered existence. Especially when it comes to racial issues. Your argument is a little lame though, God forbid anyone challenge the status quo.:1orglaugh
